As the founder of numerous successful real estate appraisal, valuation technology and venture capital firms, Mr. Linné is recognized as the nation’s leading valuation futurist.
Mr. Linné is an Adjunct Professor of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at the Polytechnical University of Yucatan and was selected as the 2012 winner of the Valuation Visionary award by the members of the Collateral Risk Network, a professional association of the nation’s Chief Appraisers and key national stakeholders.
The author or co-author of four books on real estate appraisal, more than 50 articles, a keynote speaker, panelist/presenter, expert witness, blogger, software developer/ inventor with two patents, columnist, commercial developer, instructor, course developer and serial entrepreneur and presently serves on the Education Committee for the Appraisal Institute and the Editorial Review Panel of The Appraisal Journal, and numerous other committees and panels throughout multiple organizations. Mr. Linné developed the future-focused course Artificial Intelligence, AVMs and Blockchain, which was recently approved for expansion into a day-long course by The Appraisal Institute. Mark has twice won the Donohoe Essay Award for Valuation, and the Bernard L Bernard Award for Best Contribution to the Valuation Body of Knowledge.
Elizabeth Green, CMSP

Liz Green is a strategist, solutions architect, speaker and valuation advocate. A recognized mortgage technology veteran in software product leadership for solutions in residential property valuation, loan origination, mortgage servicing and secondary marketing. A passionate activist for data standards, Green is helping to foster a new level of understanding in property valuation and collateral risk assessment through the application of digital intelligence.
Ms. Green has been on the forefront of applying data standards to valuation technologies since 2009 and has worked with key industry participants throughout. Liz was named an MBA Tech All Star in 2015 for her leadership in the MISMO property information and valuation sectors. In addition to her work with MISMO where she serves in multiple committees, she is the Chair of the MISMO Property and Valuation Services Community of Practice as well as the Chair of the Collateral Risk Network’s Standards Committee.
Robert J. Smith, CPA

Bob Smith has enjoyed a diverse career in financial services, centered on the strategic and operational leadership of mortgage banks and affiliated businesses. His common sense approach balances service excellence, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency, while fostering a collaborative and engaging environment for his team.
During his tenure in the financial services industry, Bob has held numerous senior level positions for some of the most respected companies including Merrill Lynch, PHH, Discover Financial Services and BNY Mellon. He most recently served as EVP, Corporate Development/Strategy for Real Matters (TSE:REAL), a Canadian-based fintech with affiliated businesses in the U.S., which included Solidifi Title & Closing, where Bob served as President since 2019. Bob began his career in public accounting with Deloitte, where he was recognized as a National Industry Specialist in the bank/thrift and real estate industries. He was a Senior Manager when left the firm after eight years to join one of his
clients, Merrill Lynch.
Bob has amassed vast subject matter expertise in U.S. housing finance, mortgage lending, capital markets, and regulatory matters. He has a proven track record of driving enterprise value through organic growth and inorganic strategies via small-medium scale M&A and strategic partnerships. He has operated with P&L responsibility in both bank and non-bank environments and led teams across multiple distribution/operating models.
He currently sits on two boards – the Gator Bowl Association (a 501(c)(3) benefiting higher education) and AS Direct Mortgage Capital, a European mortgage bank and services company. From 2003-2011, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Atlantic Coast Bank (NASDAQ: ACFC), serving as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Compensation and Corporate Governance Committees.
On the personal side, Bob is married with 6 children, enjoys travel, golf and is an avid snow skier. He and his wife Margaret split time between Atlanta and Steamboat Springs, CO.
Adam Johnston, PMP, SRA, AI-RRS
SVP, Chief Program Management and Valuation Officer
Adam Johnston has extensive experience leading and developing diverse teams and functions in mid-size and publicly traded Fortune 500 companies spanning mortgage lending, mortgage insurance, and appraisal management. His professional background includes two decades of years of progressive leadership experience in global operations and risk management developing and guiding diverse teams of managers, subject matter experts, and production contributors. Mr. Johnston has served in leadership roles in enterprise risk, collateral risk, operational risk management, operations, project management, and continuous improvement. In addition to Mr. Johnston’s deep background as a subject matter expert in real estate appraisal and as a Chief Appraiser for U.S. and international valuation operations, he has extensive experience in project management, process improvement, and product development. Mr. Johnston earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and the PMP designation in project management from the Project Management Institute. Mr. Johnston served eight years on the Board of Trustees of The Appraisal Foundation, a national non-profit authorized by the U.S. Congress as the source of real estate appraisal standards and qualifications and was elected to serve as its 2018 Chairperson. In addition, Mr. Johnston was a law enforcement officer for ten years and was prior active-duty military in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Johnston is a certified real estate appraiser in multiple states and holds the SRA and AI-RRS designations with the Appraisal Institute.
